EXAMINATIONS, REPORTS AND GRADING SYSTEM

Examinations

School Examination are held in December and June of each year at the end of the first and third terms respectively. Students who miss the exams due to illness are required to produce written evidence of their illness, before being allowed to take the exams missed. The student is responsible for contacting the teacher(s) regarding exams missed and to have them rescheduled.

Reports

A Report Card will be made available for parents/guardians on each child attending the school. Report Cards will show both examinations and term marks achieved by students during the term or half-year period. Final grades are determined from Term and exam grades (50% for the exam and 50% for the term). These final grades are also recorded in the students permanent file or Cumulative Record Card, kept at the school.

Grading System

PRINCIPAL'S LIST, HONOUR ROLL & ACADEMIC PIN

Students who maintain a cumulative Grade average of 75% or above for the term are selected for the Honour Roll and those obtaining a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 and above for the year are placed on the Principal's List. The student earning the highest percentage during the School exams of December and June is permitted to wear an Academic Pin for the entire succeeding term. The student scoring highest after totaling both December and June grades receives the "Student of the Year" trophy.

At the end of each year, graduating students are recognized in the following ways:
